A Muslim cleric, Imam Yahya Al-Yolawi, has urged Muslim faithful to be cautious of their action and inaction, while alive to achieve maximum benefit out of life.
Al-Yolawi, who is the Imam of Area 10 Jumaat Mosque, Garki, Abuja, gave the admonition in his sermon at the mosque on Friday.
Delivering a Jumaat sermon titled: ‘’Take advantage of five things before five things’’, the cleric urged believers to recognise the importance of life and to organise it wisely.
He said that if human beings did not waste opportunities to do good; they would reap immense benefit both on earth and in the hereafter.
“Islam considers the lifetime of a person to be of great value to him, thus believers are encouraged to be cautious of their actions and inactions in this life.
“To achieve maximum benefit out of life, one needs to recognise its importance and organise it wisely.
“If human do not waste or abuse life, rather perceive it as a blessing from Allah, they will have every chance for success both in life and in the hereafter,’’ he said.
He listed the five things as youthful age before old age, health before sickness, wealth before poverty, free time before pre-occupation and life before death.
“Islam teaches us that life passes quickly and can never return; it is irreversible.
“It is also the most precious gift that humankind possesses and can be taken away at any given moment.
“The Messenger of Allah encourages us to make the best use of those five things before five things happen to us,’’ he said
