The Presidency has suspended the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
According to Sahara Reporters, Magu was arrested on Monday by a combined team of Department of State Services personnel and policemen at the Wuse II office of the EFCC to face an inter-agency committee investigating corruption allegations against him.
On the orders of the committee, Monday night, he was detained at the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCID), in Area 10, Abuja for questioning in the morning, Tuesday 7th.
A source in the Presidency allegedly confirmed to Sahara Reporters that Magu has now been suspended pending when a decision will be taken on him.
