“Oyibo people really messed up our brains” – Yul Edochie

The popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie who has recently become a social media activist took to his twitter to express he concerns about neglecting our mother tongue in schools.

In his tweet, he remembered how teachers flogged students for speaking their native languages. According to him, those teachers should be ashamed of themselves.

“To think that some of our teachers flogged us back then in school for speaking our language.

Calling it vernacular.

You speak your own language you get flogged.
