After closing from work today, he headed home which is the most logical thing to do after a stressful day.

His friend dropped me off at Dantata bridge some meters away from City Gate and he boarded another vehicle to Lugbe, Abuja.

However, he was seating at the backseat innocently with his till a group of 4 guys stopped their vehicle to board.

His instincts were too strong that he did not want to seat with them at the back seat. He moved to manage with the guy in the front seat.

When they got to Opposite Dan Oil along that Airport highway, these fugitives screamed to drop down. The innocent driver cleared just by the highway and the worst happened.

These four guys were high on whatever… They pounced on him immediately probably because he knotted a tie and looked too gentle.

A few minutes to this incident his instincts made him drop his phone in his bag with his wallet in his palm.

They reached out for his wallet, and bag but he just could not afford to let go as the bag contains literally his valuables.

As a follow up, they brought out two scary daggers and were coming for his eye. In a reflex induced manner he diverted the knife and immediately used the car’s door in his defence.

He did this spontaneously and that was how these fiery guys fell into the gutter with the door while the driver zoomed off.

The driver being an aged Hausa man and a good man by all standards. He was so shocked that he started screaming!!

If not for the driver’s ability to zoom off when he pushed those guys into the gutter, he would have been used for suya this night but God delivered him.

This is how these scary guys snatch away people’s lives and properties; this is a call to everyone- to be vigilant and sensitive these days. The security situation in Nigeria is becoming unbearable… As long as these scary guys are roaming the streets, no one is safe. Therefore, it is everyone’s due diligence to be security conscious…
