Coronavirus: Jigawa Governor’s Nieces’ Wedding Ceremony Has only 7 People in Attendance
The wedding ceremony of Naseeba Badaru and Fatima Badaru Abubakar, nieces of Governor of Jigawa State Muhammed Badaru has only seven people in attendance due to compliance with measures enforced by authorities to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

According to the governor’s media aide, Auwal Sankara, the wedding ceremonies of Umar Murtala Adamu and Naseeba Badaru Abubakar and also Najib Usman Shehu and Fatima Badaru Abubakar held at the Governor’s residence in Kano state.
He further revealed that only 7 people attended the event because the state had earlier restricted large gatherings of people in a bid to contain the spread of the disease.
Sankara said;
“The Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has today gives out his nieces for marriage while observing social distance and the maximum limit of nine participants in a wedding ceremony.
The wedding which took place in the Governor’s residence in Kano state sees to Umar Murtala Adamu and Naseeba Badaru Abubakar and also Najib Usman Shehu and Fatima Badaru Abubakar tying the knot as man and wife without much crowd.”
However, the state government ordered the suspension of all ceremonies except for marriage which is limited to few individuals which include three representatives from both sides of the family.
This shows that the Governor is leading by example as all measures are being observed in the process of the marriage of one of his own.
